About Me
As a scientist, Professor Afaf El-Ansary began her research career at the national research centre. There, she developed an interest in doing studies on the prevention of bilharzia, which had previously been an issue for Egypt's public health. She recorded a patency on the control of bilharzia through the molluscan intermediate host.

In 2005-2006, she was named to the Marquis Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Eighth Edition. She is a member of several national and international associations, and she has served as a reviewer and editorial board member for a number of international journals.
Currently, she is the scientific consultant of the Autism Centre at Lotus Holistic Medical Centre in Abu Dhabi, UAE, as well as an active researcher at the Autism Research and Treatment Centre at King Saud University.
As evidenced by the publishing of multiple highly cited publications with an average of more than 200 citations for some of them, Prof. El-Ansary is a recognized researcher. As a metric for evaluating an author's intellectual productivity and performance over time, she has an h index of 36.
